Who doesn’t love TV? I’m not quite sure I know a single person who doesn’t enjoy indulging in TV time whether it be through movies or shows. Personally, I believe movies are best watched with others, especially family. And contrary to common belief that talking during movies is a nuisance, I feel that it only enhances the experience by presenting opportunities for meaningful discussions. Hearing your sister chide the characters for their poor choices or hearing your mother take the most lighthearted movies and dig out the deeper themes are experiences like no other.TV shows, on the other hand, prove enjoyable both with friends or alone. I embark on my TV show endeavors in order to revel in some well-deserved me-time. Binging 20-30 minute episodes as part of my self-care is one of the greatest pleasures during my do-nothing-days.
TV as a whole, has managed to interlace itself with our daily lives. Though viewed as a brain-rotting hobby by some, I believe that in moderation, movies and shows offer an appropriate escape from reality. By providing easy conversation starters, bonding experiences and chances for respites, TV has succeeded in enriching lives.
